Millennium Certificates

Champlain Saint-Lambert offers a unique set of six certificates that all students can pursue, regardless of their program and without adding time to their degree.

Under the guidance of a faculty mentor, participants earn points toward their certificates through course work, independent study, and extra-curricular activities.

The program helps foster intellectual curiosity and provides additional recognition for motivated students.

The current areas are:

  • Critical Race Studies
  • Democracy and Social Movements
  • Environmental Citizenship
  • Gender Studies
  • Indigenous and Decolonization Studies
  • Technology and Society

This year, the model has shifted to include a mentorship component. Students work with a faculty mentor who has expertise in the certificate area and who tracks their progress and provides advice.
